Girl in front bottom in the park and then hitchhiking. Man reading newspaper. Cat is sympathetic to crying sister. Father has hat on, can’t find a job. Christian Science man (they were) at the end of the aisle, top right. More beggars from the [Great] Depression. The two girls close to the center were taken from a tapestry David's mother always had hanging. Running legs cropped throughout painting.
